Wild Harvested

African Pacific defines Wild Harvested as the production and harvesting of wild or naturally occurring commodities. The Wild Harvesting concept is structured to ensure the ongoing integrity of both the human and environmental elements.

• The sustainability of the cropping area is critical and no activity associated with the growing or harvest process must compromise the area’s continuing ability to function naturally as a complete ecosystem.
• The wild harvest ideal recognises the significance of the rights of indigenous land holders and ensures that the social structure of indigenous communities will not be impinged by either growing or processing of the crop.

African Pacific recognises that not all communities within the South Pacific have the resources or volumes to enable the participation in the value added Certified Organic programme. None the less we have a responsibility to support all communities irrespective of, size or capability and therefore choose to include Wild Harvested commodities within our product offering.
